About CompozyOS

CompozyOS coordinates existing agent command-line tools as a team that splits work, hands tasks to each other, and shares project memory. It provides sessions, agents, loops, cron schedules, webhooks, triggers, approvals, permissions, and run-state inspection for creating, automating, and supervising agent work.

The runtime is local-first by default, using a Go binary with SQLite-backed stores on the operator's machine, with remote access through an explicitly configured gateway. The v0.3 line is in beta and built first for developers and technical operators, while v0.2.15 is deprecated.

Key features

  • Coordinate multiple agent CLIs with shared project memory and task handoff
  • Reusable sessions, agents, loops and capabilities as authored objects
  • Cron schedules, webhooks and triggers for background automation without open terminal
  • Approvals, permissions, run state and artifacts inspectable during runs
  • Daemon-owned sessions and loop runs persist after client closes
  • Local-first runtime with Go binary and SQLite-backed stores on operator machine
Best for: Developers and technical operators who run existing agent CLIs for continuous automated work.
Good for
  • Works with ACP-compatible agent CLIs already in use
  • Local-first by default with runtime state on operator's machine
  • Open source repository
Watch out for
  • v0.3 line is in beta
  • v0.2.15 is deprecated and maintained only for critical fixes
  • Homebrew continues to serve the deprecated v0.2 line during the beta window

CompozyOS FAQ

What happens to work if the client or terminal is closed?
Sessions and loop runs belong to the daemon, so closing one client does not erase the work.
Where is runtime state kept?
By default it stays on the operator's machine in SQLite-backed stores, unless a configured provider or extension owns an external boundary.
What should v0.2 users do before moving to v0.3?
Start with the migration guide before replacing an existing v0.2 installation.
