About cpacker/MemGPT

Letta, formerly MemGPT, is an open-source platform for building stateful AI agents whose memory can learn and improve over time. It installs from npm as @letta-ai/letta-code and can be used through an interactive terminal UI, a local or self-hosted App Server, desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, a browser client at chat.letta.com (including mobile), messaging channels such as Slack, Telegram and Discord, and an Agent SDK for building agents into TypeScript applications. Letta Cloud is offered for keeping agent memory, identity and conversations available across computers. The project is Apache-2.0 licensed and actively developed; current source code lives in the letta-ai/letta-code repository, while the archive branch in this repository holds the retired Letta V1 API server, with old tags and releases kept for reproducibility.
