About Episteme Reader
Episteme Reader is an open-source reader for documents, e-books, comics, and text files on Android and desktop Linux and Windows. It supports PDF, EPUB, MOBI/AZW3, FB2, DOCX, ODT/FODT, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and comic archives, with paginated and scroll reading, PDF annotation tools, typography and layout settings, and library tools such as local folder sync, bookmarks, and progress tracking.
The same core is shared across editions, which differ by distribution channel, network access, and online services. Offline Android and desktop builds remove network permissions or disable online services, while Play Store, OSS, and Standard builds are online-capable and can include OPDS, cloud sync, AI tools, cloud text-to-speech, or OCR depending on the edition.
