About FediverseRedirect

FediverseRedirect is an open-source suite of Android apps that acts as a deep-linking proxy for Mastodon and Lemmy links. It addresses the issue that federated networks use many instance domains at different addresses, which Android client apps cannot declare for link handling at compile time.

You download the Redirect variant for your network, select your preferred client app, and enable supported domains. When you tap a recognized link, it is passed to FediverseRedirect and then sent to the chosen client. The domain list is based on Fediverse Observer and focuses on active instances, and the apps also support web+ap and web+activity URL schemes.

It suits Android users who read Mastodon or Lemmy links in a browser or other apps and want them to open in a mobile client, provided their client supports compatible link sharing.
