About LemmyTools

LemmyTools is a Firefox extension that adds utilities for using Lemmy sites. It provides a searchable bar for subscribed communities with grouping and sorting, plus user tagging, keyword-based hiding of posts and comments, image resizing and display controls, sidebar hiding, and link-opening options.

The repository now ships only the Firefox add-on under extension/; the earlier Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey userscript is retired. Settings are stored in browser.storage.local and are applied across open Lemmy tabs without requiring a reload.

Key features

  • Searchable bar for subscribed communities in top, left, or right position
  • Organize subscribed communities into named collapsible groups
  • Sort community list alphabetically or by recent visits
  • Attach coloured notes to users visible across site
  • Hide posts and comments matching keyword filters
  • Resize expanded images by dragging; control image auto-open and NSFW unblur
Best for: People who use Lemmy in Firefox and follow multiple subscribed communities.
