Mastodon
The Mastodon browser add-on simplifies following and interacting with users on remote instances.

About Mastodon
Mastodon – Simplified Federation! is a Firefox extension for use with Mastodon, a decentralized social network where accounts live on one server and can interact with accounts on other servers. It addresses the step where remote instances ask visitors to enter their Mastodon handle before following or interacting.
After installation, you enter your handle in the format username@server in the add-on settings. When you then click Follow, Retoot/Fav, or another interaction button on a remote instance, the add-on skips the “Enter your Mastodon handle” prompt and redirects you to your home instance. It runs in the background without further input and is described as not exposing your handle to third-party sites. It also supports redirects from GNU Social, Friendica, and Pleroma, with limited support noted for GNU Social.
It suits Firefox users who have a Mastodon account and regularly view profiles or posts on instances other than their own.
