About GHIDRA

Ghidra is a software reverse engineering (SRE) framework created and maintained by the National Security Agency Research Directorate. It offers tools for analyzing compiled code, including disassembly, assembly, decompilation, graphing and scripting, and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux in both user-interactive and automated modes. It supports a wide variety of processor instruction sets and executable formats, and users can write their own extensions and scripts in Java or Python.

The project warns that certain versions contain known security vulnerabilities and directs users to its security advisories. Installing an official pre-built release requires a 64-bit JDK 25; building from source additionally requires Gradle 9.1.0+ or the wrapper, Python 3.9 to 3.14 with pip, and platform-specific compilers such as GCC or Clang on Linux/macOS or Microsoft Visual Studio 2017+ build tools on Windows.
