About JSONing -
JSONing generates mock APIs for testing and prototyping. You define resources in a single JSON object and, optionally, rules written in JSON; the tool then exposes an endpoint immediately, without waiting for a backend. Resources support standard CRUD routes, and the rule engine can match requests on method, path, headers and payload to return custom HTTP status codes, headers and response bodies. Rules run before the API performs its read, write or delete operation; if several rules match, only the first is applied, and rule output takes precedence over the API's own response.
The online editor creates hosted APIs, but the source code can also be retrieved to run a local installation. Hosted APIs are deleted once a day and must be recreated, and the site asks users to limit the number of calls they make, recommending a local API for heavier use. A public mock API is also available for testing; it is read-only, so its data cannot be modified.
