About JummBox

JummBox is an online tool for sketching and sharing chiptune melodies. It is a modification of BeepBox by John Nesky and uses a pattern-based editor with separate rows for melodies, harmonies, and drums.

All song data is contained in the browser URL, which updates as changes are made. Copying the URL saves and shares the song, as songs are not received, recorded, or distributed by JummBox servers. An offline version with the same features is available.

Key features

  • Pattern editor with separate rows for melodies and drums
  • Add notes by clicking rows with immediate audio playback
  • Adjust note duration by dragging horizontally on notes
  • Stack notes to create chords played simultaneously
  • Bend pitch and adjust volume by vertical dragging
  • Copy URL to save and share song data
Best for: People who want to sketch chiptune melodies and share them through a link.
Good for
  • States that it does not collect, track, or share user data
  • Does not claim ownership; original songs belong to their authors
  • Offline version available with the same features
Watch out for
  • No server storage; saving and sharing depends on keeping the copied URL
