Universe Atlas visualizes scale from the observable universe to a proton, with real stars and planets shown at their measured sizes and distances.
Map of the Universe
The Map of the Universe interactively maps 200,000 galaxies from the Milky Way toward the observable universe.

About Map of the Universe
The Map of the Universe is an interactive map of about 200,000 galaxies, running from the Milky Way out to the edge of the observable universe. It was built from 15 years of Sloan Digital Sky Survey data by researchers at Johns Hopkins University. Each dot is a galaxy shown with its apparent color, and scrolling moves back through cosmic time. Labeled sections cover quasars, elliptical galaxies, spiral galaxies and redshift. The visualization shows a thin slice about 10 degrees thick, because not all of the available data can be displayed at once.
