About MLJ

MLJ (Machine Learning in Julia) is a toolbox written in Julia that provides a common interface and meta-algorithms for selecting, tuning, evaluating, composing and comparing over 200 machine learning models written in Julia and other languages. MLJ.jl is an umbrella package for components distributed across a number of other packages, so the framework itself is the interface layer rather than a single bundled library.

Key features

  • Common interface across over 200 machine learning models
  • Models sourced from Julia and other languages
  • Meta-algorithms for selecting, tuning, evaluating and comparing models
  • Meta-algorithms for composing models into workflows
  • Umbrella package for components distributed in other packages
  • Repository covers classification, clustering, regression, ensembles, stacking and pipelines
Best for: Julia users who want to select, tune, evaluate and compare machine learning models through one shared interface.
Good for
  • Single interface spans more than 200 models from Julia and other languages
  • Meta-algorithms support tuning, evaluating, composing and comparing models
  • Documentation, workflow examples and contribution guidance are maintained in the repository
Watch out for
  • Use requires the Julia language
  • The package is an umbrella for components that live in separate packages
