About Northern California Earthquake Data Center
The Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC) is the permanent archive and distribution center for digital earthquake data in central and northern California. It provides time-series data from broadband, short-period, and strong-motion seismic sensors, GPS, and other geophysical sensors. The NCEDC is a joint project of the Berkeley Seismological Laboratory and the U.S. Geological Survey at Menlo Park, and supports earthquake processing and archiving for the Northern California Seismic System, part of the California Integrated Seismic Network.
Users can search USGS and BSL earthquake catalogs, check station and channel inventories through SeismiQuery, retrieve continuous waveform data through NCEDC web services, and view a real-time interactive map of recent earthquakes. The NCEDC asks users to acknowledge both the NCEDC and the organizations that contributed the data.
