opensource
This repository implements an open-source alternative to NotebookLM with additional flexibility.

About opensource
Open Notebook is an open source repository that provides a self-hosted alternative to NotebookLM for organizing research material. It holds PDFs, videos, audio, and web pages in notebooks, supports full-text and vector search, and lets users chat with AI models using that content as context with citations to sources, notes and insights.
It connects to 20+ cloud AI providers or local models through Ollama and OpenAI-compatible servers, can generate podcasts with 1-4 speakers and custom profiles, and provides a REST API. Running it requires Docker and a user-supplied AI provider key or local model server, and content sent to a chosen cloud provider leaves the local setup.
