About PKHeX

PKHeX is a save file editor for core-series Pokémon games. It opens save files and displays their data in a view that can be edited and saved. It also reads individual Pokémon files, Mystery Gift files, and some GameCube memory card files, and it can convert Pokémon between generations and formats during transfer.

The project is a Windows Forms application that requires .NET 10. PKHeX expects save files that are not encrypted with console-specific keys. To move save data off a console, the project points users to savedata managers such as Checkpoint, save_manager, JKSM, or SaveDataFiler. The project states that it does not support or condone cheating at the expense of others.
