About Public Health Ontario Open Data
Public Health Ontario's Open Data page describes the agency's role in Ontario's Open Government commitment and provides its data inventory. Under Ontario's Open Data Directive, every provincial agency must publish a list of the datasets it creates, collects or manages. The inventory lists all Public Health Ontario datasets and states whether each one is currently open, in the process of being opened, or exempt from release.
Not all data is released. The page says certain data is withheld for privacy, security, legal, confidentiality or commercially sensitive reasons. Datasets from the wider Government of Ontario are found in the Ontario open data catalogue, and other requests, such as water test results, freedom of information requests and lab tests, go through the Data Requests page. The page shows an update date of 22 October 2019.
