clip-retrieval is an open source Python repository for computing CLIP image and text embeddings and building retrieval over them. It includes modules for inference, index building, data filtering, hosting indices with a Flask service, a query UI, and a Python client for remote querying.
It supports search by text, image path or URL, or embedding vector. The client allows setting the backend URL, index name, modality, result count, deduplication, and safety filtering, and an end-to-end command runs dataset preparation, inference, indexing, and hosting steps.
