Simple Video Cutter is a Windows tool for browsing video footage and extracting selected parts as separate video files. It previews playback with timeline navigation, loads the next file ordered by date, assigns output locations and filenames from configurable patterns, and runs extraction in the background using FFmpeg. FFmpeg is required to use it and can be downloaded automatically or set manually in Settings. It is available as a user-area installer, portable zip, and standalone zip, with localisations including Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified).

Is FFmpeg required?
Yes. You can let Simple Video Cutter download FFmpeg automatically, or download it yourself and set its path in the Settings dialog.
What if Windows or a virus scanner blocks the installer?
Use "more details" to allow installation, or use the portable zip or svc-standalone.zip. The standalone version is fully functional but updates must be done manually.
How are updates handled?
The Velopack-based version downloads and installs new versions automatically on next start; new releases can also be checked manually on the releases page.
