About TextureLab

TextureLab is a procedural texturing tool for creating tileable, physically-based materials. It uses a node-based workflow that shows a preview at each step, and shapes, noises and filters are seamless by default. Because materials are procedural, a texture designed once can be exported at any resolution, and almost all nodes are built to run on the GPU. The site describes the project as an open source alternative for making beautiful, tileable, PBR textures, with development hosted on GitHub, and materials geared by default toward a metallic physically-based rendering workflow. Textures can be exported directly to Unity materials. The project is still under heavy development. No pricing information is stated on the homepage.
