About ZeroClaw

ZeroClaw is an open source agent runtime for running a personal AI assistant on your own machine. It is distributed as a single Rust binary that you configure and run. The assistant connects to large language model providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and local Ollama, and it receives and sends messages through channels including Discord, Telegram, Matrix, email, webhooks, and a command-line interface. It can act through tools such as shell commands, a browser, HTTP requests, hardware, and custom MCP servers.

Setup uses a command-line quickstart that writes a configuration file, and the runtime can be registered as a background service. The project states that it runs with your own keys in your own workspace. Because the assistant sends requests to model providers and to the channels you configure, data is shared with those external services when they are used. The repository also describes a YOLO mode that skips the safety gates, which the project suggests is for development machines.
