AG2 offers open source tools for building and coordinating AI agent systems.
OpenFang
Run AI agents with OpenFang, an open-source operating system project for agent workflows.

About OpenFang
OpenFang is an open-source agent operating system written in Rust and distributed from a GitHub repository. Rather than waiting for typed prompts, it runs autonomous agents on schedules, 24/7, doing work such as building knowledge graphs, monitoring targets, generating leads, managing social media and reporting to a local dashboard. The whole system compiles to a single roughly 32MB binary that installs with one command, and it ships with pre-built "Hands" capability packages that bundle tools, multi-phase prompts, domain skill references and approval guardrails.
Key features
- Autonomous agents run on schedules, 24/7, without prompting
- Bundled Hands package manifests, playbooks, skill references and approval guardrails
- Clip: turns YouTube URLs into captioned vertical shorts with thumbnails
- Lead: discovers, enriches, scores and deduplicates prospects; exports CSV/JSON/Markdown
- Collector: continuous target monitoring with change detection and sentiment tracking
- Predictor and Researcher: calibrated forecasts, confidence intervals and cited reports
- Open source with documentation, a quick start guide and an SDK
- Installs as one binary with a dashboard served on localhost:4200
- Large codebase with 14 crates, 1,767+ tests and an MIT/Apache license
- Still pre-1.0; the project warns of rough edges and breaking changes between minor versions
- Source recommends pinning to a specific commit for production use until v1.0
