About Canadian Database of Geochemical Surveys
The Canadian Database of Geochemical Surveys is the public interface to a catalogue of regional geochemical surveys carried out across Canada since the 1950s. It provides high-level metadata for all catalogued surveys and aims to make raw data available in a standardised format.
As of 2025-05-04, 1,646 surveys were catalogued and 292 were standardised, with links to spreadsheets and KML maps for standardised data and to original published formats where possible. Standardisation work is ongoing for approximately 500 surveys identified for mineral exploration and environmental baseline studies.
