About Clipnote Studio

Clipnote Studio is a downloadable Windows tool for creating basic animations to share with friends, described as a spiritual successor to Flipnote Studio by Nintendo. It includes square and circle brushes, line and shape tools, a text tool, six colors, three drawing layers, user profiles, and automatic note downloading/importing.

Export requires the separate Paperclip utility by Frog for .gif, .mp4, and .clip files. Mac and Linux versions are still in development, with Wine suggested as a workaround, and tablet compatibility is not ensured.
