About dnGrep

dnGrep searches across files on Windows, including text files, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Open Office documents, PDFs, and archives such as zip, 7z, rar and jar. It supports text, regular expression, XPath, phonetic, and byte-sequence queries, with search filters, whole-file preview, bookmarked patterns, and saved results.

It can replace text in text files with undo, but does not replace in binary formats such as Word, Excel, or PDF. It runs on Windows 10, 11, or Windows Server with .NET 9 included, and may be incompatible with Smart App Control on Windows 11.

No. Replace works in text files and does not replace in binary formats such as Word, Excel, or PDF.
Which versions of Windows does dnGrep support?
Windows 10, 11, or Windows Server. Windows 7 users can still run v3.2.330 on .NET Framework 4.8, with no more updates.
