doukutsu-rs is an open-source reimplementation of the Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari) engine written in Rust. It does not contain game data files and must be paired with supported files from the freeware release, Cave Story+, or the Nintendo Switch version.
It provides builds for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, plus a Switch homebrew port, and can be used as a drop-in replacement for CaveStory+.exe.
