About Unnamed SDVX clone

Unnamed SDVX clone is an open-source rhythm game based on K-Shoot MANIA and Sound Voltex, distributed as a GitHub repository. It plays KShoot charts (*.ksh, version 1.6 supported) with functional gameplay and scoring, and offers a fully skinnable interface, changeable settings and key mapping, and basic controller support. It runs on Linux, Windows and macOS, and can be launched directly from the bin folder without building from source on Windows, where a pre-built download is provided.

Audio is streamed from OGG or MP3 files with preloading for gameplay, and the game supports both real-time sound effects and the older approach using separate no-FX and effected music files. A song database cache built on sqlite3 allows near-instant startup, and songs can be searched and filtered from the song select screen. Scores are saved locally. The repository is described as being in maintenance mode, with development effort directed toward a Rust rewrite, and lighting peripheral support and additional gauge types are listed as in progress.
