About Download all Images

Download all Images adds a toolbar button that collects images from the current browser tab and saves the selected ones. It filters by dimensions, image type such as JPEG, PNG, BMP, or GIF, size in bytes, and URL, including custom regular expressions. It detects images loaded on the page, referenced in links, included as links in text, and used as CSS backgrounds, and can follow links to find images on secondary pages.

The filtering window shows total detected, processed, and to-be-saved counts, with size and type resolved by HEAD requests for HTTP and HTTPS URLs. Filters are combined with AND logic, and there is an option to limit detection to the same domain.

How many images will be saved if I press the OK button?
The Save count in the statistic panel shows the number. All enabled filters are combined with AND, so an image must meet every rule. Uncheck other filters to use one criterion, and check the gallery tab to preview results.
How does the extension determine image size and type?
For HTTP and HTTPS URLs it sends a HEAD request and reads response headers. For Data URI URLs size and type are taken from the URI. If HEAD is unsupported the result is null and acceptance depends on the setting for unknown sizes.
What does the "Only save images from the same domain" option do?
By default all loaded images are detected regardless of origin. Enabling the option limits detection to the current domain.
