About External App Button
External Application Button adds a toolbar button and customizable context-menu items for launching external applications from the browser. It can send the current page URL, selected text, and image, video, or audio source URLs to a chosen program with customized arguments, for example opening a page in another browser or sending an image to GIMP, Paint.net, or Photoshop.
Users define execution jobs in the options page with a display name, absolute executable path, arguments, placement, and icon. The extension allows only one toolbar button, with multiple applications switched by right-clicking the button, and use requires setup of its native client component.
