About Forgix

Forgix is a Gradle plugin for Minecraft modders that combines multiple modloader and plugin JAR files into a single JAR. After applying the plugin in the root build.gradle and running the mergeJars task, it creates a merged archive, by default under build/forgix, with options for destination directory, archive classifier, base name, version, auto-run behavior and message silencing. Default platform methods cover Fabric, Forge, Quilt, NeoForge and LiteLoader, and custom modloaders can be added when the project is named accordingly.

It works by altering packages so each modloader calls its own entry points, and the JVM loads only the classes that are called. The homepage states that it is ready for production usage in its current state and has worked on the mods the author tested; if anything breaks, users can open a GitHub issue. Forgix is intended for developers. Regular users may benefit when a mod is distributed as one file, so they do not need to choose a modloader.
