About Gerbera
Gerbera is a free media server for streaming a personal media collection to devices on a home network. It is built upon MediaTomb 0.12.1 and the current release noted on the homepage is version 3.3.0.
With Gerbera you can make your collection available to TVs, Playstations, and Android and iOS phones and tablets on the same network. It includes optional transcoding support that converts media on the fly to a format supported by the playback device. It automatically extracts metadata from music files, and supports JavaScript-based customization of how the collection is organized and displayed. A default layout is provided for users who do not want to customize.
