About github-material-icons-extension
Material Icons for GitHub is an open-source browser extension that changes how repository file browsers look on github.com. It replaces the default file and folder icons with Material Design icons chosen for each file type, tool and purpose in a project. The icon set and file assignments come directly from the Material Icon Theme extension for Visual Studio Code, so the two projects share the same visuals. The extension can be installed from the Chrome Web Store, the Microsoft Edge Addons Store or Firefox Addons, and the repository includes build and bundling scripts for local development.
