About Icaros

Icaros provides Windows Shell Extensions that add Explorer thumbnails for video formats supported by FFmpeg and file properties such as length, width, height, title and channels. It also includes custom parsers for cover-art thumbnails for formats including Mkv, Flac, Ape and Mpc, with activation and filetype settings managed through IcarosConfig.

This GitHub repository is an issue tracker and download location; Icaros itself is not open source. It works on Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10 and 11, with only partial thumbnail support on Windows XP SP2+ in version 3.0.3 and earlier.
