About ioBroker

ioBroker is an open-source integration platform for Internet of Things and home automation use cases, including building automation, smart metering, ambient assisted living, process automation, visualization and data logging. It functions as a concept and database schema that enables system interoperability, using in-memory storage for object and state data with optional Redis support for key-value storage and pub/sub messaging. The platform runs on any hardware and operating system that supports Node.js, including Windows, Linux, macOS, ARM and x86 devices. It is designed for use within trusted networks, and exposing its databases, adapters or connected smart home devices directly to the internet is not recommended without additional security measures such as HTTPS with valid certificates, VPN, VLAN or reverse proxies.
