About LLM

LLM is a command-line utility and Python library for sending prompts to large language models and working with their responses. It supports models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and several other providers through remote APIs. It can also run models installed on the user's own machine, and it works with any OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions endpoint, such as LM Studio.

The tool can run prompts from the command line, store prompts and responses in SQLite, generate and store embeddings, extract structured content from text and images, and let models run tools. Remote providers require the user's own API key, and local models require installing a separate plugin and downloading the model.
