About Gito

Gito is an open-source tool that uses language models to review GitHub pull requests and local code changes for security vulnerabilities, bugs, and maintainability concerns. It can run via GitHub Actions or from the command line, and can post results as pull request comments and respond to maintainer comments.

It works with OpenAI-compatible APIs, Anthropic, Google, local model services, and other runtimes. Source code is sent from the user's environment directly to the configured provider; Gito states it does not store, log, or retain code itself. GitLab support is in beta and Bitbucket support is planned but not available.
