Interact with Mastodon instances from the command line using tootstream.
madonctl
The Mastodon API is accessible from a terminal through madonctl, a Go command-line client.

About madonctl
madonctl is a command-line client, written in Go, for the Mastodon REST API. It lets users post toots, manage their account, and work with notifications, blocked and muted accounts, and their own posts from a terminal. It is built on madon, the author's Go implementation of the Mastodon API.
To use it, you specify an instance name or URL and provide an account login and password or a token. Settings can be passed as command-line arguments, set as environment variables, or stored in a configuration file, which madonctl can generate. For accounts with two-factor authentication, the documentation describes OAuth2 login through the oauth2 command. The project is open source, and the repository includes pre-built binaries and build-from-source instructions.
