ncmpc++ FAQ

Is ncmpcpp still being developed?
It is in maintenance mode. No substantial new features are expected, but serious bugs and failures to compile with new dependency versions will be fixed.
What is needed to build it?
It requires boost, ncurses, readline and curl, with optional fftw for spectrum visualization and taglib for tag editing. Build steps are autoreconf -fiv, ./configure, make and make install.
How do I enable the visualizer?
Enable it during configure, for example with ./configure --enable-visualizer. Frequency spectrum mode uses fftw.
