About Octi

Octi is an open source Android app that lets one app monitor and coordinate several Android phones or tablets. It collects battery information (charge level, speed and estimates), connectivity details (Wi-Fi SSID and IP address), and installed app information (the last installed app and the app list). The clipboard module copies clipboard text into Octi so it can be shared with other devices.

Devices can exchange information through Google Drive, which the project describes as easy to use when all devices use the same account, or through Octi Server, which the project describes as end-to-end encrypted and as not requiring a Google account. Companion clients for desktop and web are listed as early-stage and connect to an Octi Server. A community client exposes Octi device state as Home Assistant entities.

Key features

  • Battery monitoring of charge level, charging speed and estimates across devices

  • Installed app reporting, including the last installed app and the full app list
