Photofield
Photofield offers a self-hosted photo gallery packaged as a single binary, with a focus on speed and simplicity.

About Photofield
Photofield is a self-hosted photo gallery distributed as a single binary, with a focus on speed and simplicity. It is built to show a large number of photos at the same time and to display them quickly. It is non-invasive: it can run on its own or alongside other photo gallery software, and the original files are not modified. The file system is treated as the source of truth, and the application's database serves as a cache.
The project's own limitations are relevant. Much of the client-side state is kept on the server, so CPU or memory problems are likely with more than a few simultaneous users. The project also has no user accounts, which the source says is not currently a focus. Video is supported, but on-the-fly transcoding is not. Semantic search and face detection require the separate photofield-ai component and are marked as alpha features for tagging and face detection.
Key features
- Zoomable interface in every view for viewing photo detail
