About Request Storage

Request Storage is Codeberg's requests repository, where users can ask for project resources such as CI access, additional repositories, storage and other exceptions. It uses issue templates for common requests so Codeberg can process them efficiently, and sends requests that do not fit a template to the community issue tracker, where such exceptions usually cannot be easily granted.

The repository also lists conditions and limits. Forgejo Actions default runners can be used without asking; Woodpecker CI access is requested per account through a form. Code must be licensed as free/libre, repositories must be publicly accessible, project purpose must be described and match the implementation, and resource usage must be reasonable on a case-by-case basis. Default limits include 100 repositories per user or organization and 100 MiB of private repository storage per user. Hosted CI/CD uses containers on GNU/Linux only. Storage/quota exception workflows are subject to change. Stickers can be requested for redistribution in specified settings.

Request Storage FAQ

How do I request access to Woodpecker CI?
Use the request form. Access is granted per account, not per project. If multiple team members need access, list them in the request.
What are the default limits for repositories and private storage?
There is a default limit of 100 repositories per user or organization, which can be lifted per account or organization. Private repository storage is limited to 100 MiB per user. More can be requested for Free Software projects, but exceptions are not granted for proprietary software.
Can I request stickers?
Yes. Sticker requests are intended for redistribution by hackerspaces, schools, associations, work/offices and events. Once approved, a Codeberg member can coordinate shipping to a specified address.
