Sounds of the Forest
The Sounds of the Forest project collects woodland recordings on a sound map.

About Sounds of the Forest
Sounds of the Forest collects woodland and forest recordings from around the world into a sound map. The recordings form an open source audio library that anyone can listen to and create from, and the site invites contributions. Audio files in the project are part of a Creative Commons Share Alike agreement. The project was created by Wild Rumpus and is built on Mapbox GL JS. Selected artists were planned to present work based on the gathered sounds at Timber Festival 2021, an annual three-day festival in the National Forest in the Midlands.
