VirHostNet integrates and curates virus-host protein interaction data for reproducible systems-level analysis and visualization.
The Human Protein Atlas
The Human Protein Atlas organizes protein information across tissues, brain, cells, blood, disease, structure, and interaction resources.

About The Human Protein Atlas
The Human Protein Atlas is an online resource that organizes information about human proteins across tissues, brain, cells, blood, cancer, cell lines, protein structure, and protein interactions. It combines antibody-based imaging, transcriptomics, mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics, and systems biology. The site lists nine resources, and the homepage reports 27883 antibodies targeting 17407 unique proteins.
Users can run a free text search for gene names, identifiers, protein classes, and antibody information, or use fielded search for specific attributes such as chromosome or organ expression. Free text queries must be at least three characters long. The project is funded by the Knut & Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
Key features
- Tissue profiles based on transcriptomics, antibodies and MS-based proteomics
- Brain section with protein and spatial RNA profiles from microdissected regions
- Subcellular protein profiles in human cells based on antibodies
- Blood protein levels in health and disease from affinity and MS-based proteomics
- 3D structures of human proteins with antibody-binding sites and genetic variants
- Free text or fielded search across genes, identifiers, classes and antibody data
- Presented as an open access resource for human protein data
- Antibody validation results are reported across four assays: IH, IF, WB and PA
- Free text search terms must be at least three characters long
