About Doqment

Doqment is a custom build of Mozilla's PDF.js viewer, packaged as a browser extension. It adds the doq reader mode add-on, which changes the colors of a PDF, and it is distributed as open source code on GitHub.

The extension also adds Auto-track Document Outline, Smart Zoom for text, and a Show/Hide toolbar option intended to save space and assist reading on smaller devices. In Firefox, it replaces the built-in PDF viewer as the default. In Chrome and Chromium, it runs alongside the native viewer and adds a context menu item and toolbar button for opening PDFs. Firefox has limits compared with its built-in viewer: local files cannot be opened directly through file: URLs, the Find bar cannot search PDF text, and the address bar shows an extension URL. In Chromium, file: URLs work only if the user grants access in the extension settings.
