About FoliCon

FoliCon is a website and Windows tool for customizing folder icons in media libraries. It applies poster artwork, rating badges, and overlay designs to folders for movies, TV series, music, anime, and games. Users can choose from six built-in overlay designs, install community overlay styles from the Overlay Store, or design their own layouts in a visual designer with a live folder preview.

The tool can fetch ratings from TMDB or IGDB, or accept custom scores. Its subfolder processing scans deep folder hierarchies with configurable depth limits and can skip folders that were already processed. Optional Windows Explorer integration adds a right-click menu for customizing folders. The homepage states that TMDB, IGDB, and DeviantArt credentials are stored on the user's machine and encrypted with Windows DPAPI. Professional mode icons come from publicly available DeviantArt galleries, and the homepage states that all rights belong to their respective owners.
