gdown is an open-source Python tool and command-line program for downloading public files and folders from Google Drive in cases where curl or wget fail. How do I download an entire Google Drive folder?
Pass the folder URL; folder URLs are detected automatically. A bare folder ID requires the --folder option, because file and folder IDs have the same format.
What does the --json option do?
It lists entries as an array of url and path values without downloading, which is useful for resolving the real filename and extension. The option is in beta, its output format may change in a future release, and --quiet silences the beta warning in scripts.
