About Insomnia

Insomnia is a tool for developing and testing HTTP, REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SOAP, and WebSocket APIs. It supports design from OpenAPI specs with real-time preview, mocking with dynamic responses, and collection testing with pre- and post-request scripting. It also provides an MCP client for inspecting servers and running tools, Kong Konnect integration for endpoint discovery, and the Inso CLI for pipeline checks.

Collections, designs, and tests can be stored locally, in a Git repository, or with cloud sync that offers optional end-to-end encryption. Scratch Pad use does not require login. It is available for macOS, Windows, and web.
