Linux Wi-Fi Hotspot creates wireless hotspots on Linux through a graphical or command-line interface.
Linux Router
linux-router turns a Linux computer into a router, supporting internet sharing, Wi-Fi hotspots, IPv6, and virtual machines or containers.

About Linux Router
Linux Router is a single-file bash script that sets a Linux computer as a router in one command. It can share Internet to an interface, create a Wi-Fi hotspot, provide IPv6 behind a NATed LAN, and route traffic for virtual machines or containers. It wraps tools including iptables and dnsmasq, and restores settings in one command, with Control-C, or by closing the terminal window.
It requires meeting dependencies such as bash, dnsmasq and iptables, plus hostapd and related tools for hotspots. Creating an access point on the same interface used for Internet needs hardware support, and the project states it comes with no warranty.
Key features
- Create NATed sub-network with DHCP server and DNS server
- Create Wi-Fi hotspot with WPA options and channel selection
- Provide IPv6 access behind NATed LAN like IPv4
- Route traffic through transparent proxy via redsocks
- Run multiple instances to create different sub-networks
- Specify upstream DNS and DNS assigned to clients
- One-file script that can run without installation after meeting dependencies
- Restores setup in one command, with Control-C, or by closing terminal
- Detects and handles interference from NetworkManager and firewalld
- Requires dependencies including dnsmasq, iptables, and hostapd for hotspots
- Creating an access point on the same Internet interface needs hardware support
- Does not ensure anonymity when sharing Tor network to LAN clients
