About Osaurus
Osaurus is a Mac application (with a web interface and upcoming Windows support) for running customizable AI agents. It supports both locally run open models and cloud frontier models including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and others, with a native inference engine built for Apple Silicon for local Mac use. The individual app is free and released under an MIT license.
Agents can perform tasks like reading and editing local files, running shell, Python, or Node code in isolated sandboxes, browsing the web, and executing scheduled or trigger-based workflows. It includes privacy features such as a Privacy Filter that redacts personal information and secrets before sending prompts to cloud providers, with all core user data stored locally on the user’s device. Team-focused Workspaces are also available for sharing agents and workflows across organizations.
