About Quad9
Quad9 is a public recursive DNS resolver that replaces a default ISP or enterprise DNS configuration. It checks DNS lookups against a list of threats and blocks those associated with malware, phishing, spyware, and botnets for computers, mobile devices, and IoT systems. The service states it does not log data containing IP addresses during normal use and supports encrypted connections when the user's system supports them. It is operated by the Swiss-based Quad9 Foundation.
