About Television

Television is an open source fuzzy finder for the terminal. It searches in real time through data sources such as files, file contents, git repositories, environment variables, and Docker containers, and it lets the user select items from the results. The command "tv" searches files by default, "tv text" searches file contents, and "tv git-repos" finds git repositories.

Users can define custom channels in TOML files to fit their own workflows. The page includes a TLDR example that sets a source command, a preview command, a keybinding, and an action. The project is released under the MIT license. The page does not give a full list of supported operating systems; its tags name Linux and macOS.
