fd
fd provides a simple alternative to the find command, according to its project description.

About fd
fd is a command-line program for finding entries in a filesystem, presented as a simple, fast and user-friendly alternative to the traditional find command. It searches recursively from the current directory, or from a second argument naming a root directory, treating the pattern as a regular expression by default; glob-based patterns are also supported, as is filtering by file extension. It is not intended to cover all of find's functionality, and instead applies opinionated defaults for common cases: hidden files and directories and patterns listed in .gitignore are skipped unless flags turn those exclusions off. Traversal is parallelized, and results are colored by file type in the same way as ls. The project is open source and distributed through its GitHub repository.
Key features
- Regular expression search by default; glob patterns with -g
- Parallelized directory traversal for speed
- Smart case: case-insensitive unless the pattern has uppercase letters
- Ignores hidden files and .gitignore patterns by default
- Filter results by file extension with -e
- Supports parallel command execution
- Simple syntax, such as fd PATTERN instead of find -iname '*PATTERN*'
- Sensible opinionated defaults for a majority of search use cases
- Parallelized directory traversal for fast results
- Does not aim to support all of find's powerful functionality
- Hidden files and .gitignore-matching entries are excluded by default and require options such as -H, -I or -u to include
